Paddock worked with the City of Sydney Council to develop the master plan and detailed design for MacDonald Street within the Ashmore Precinct, Erskineville Sydney.
The MacDonald Street urban renewal project aims to improve the vehicular and stormwater drainage within a constrianed area of Ashmore, whilst creating a new attractive streetscape and active transport network.
Paddock were engaged to review the existing high-level conceptual designs produced for the precinct and prepare refined concept designs and detailed design documentation.  Also included in the commission was the requirement to produce community consultation documentation including photo montages, rendered plans and design reports.
The project site includes significant site constraints due to levels and flooding which resulted in a mixture of hard and soft landscape responses to address and mitigate these issues where possible.
The project was completed in 2021.
